R.E.A.C.H. Recognizing and Exploring Anger, Conflict and Hope

Recognizing angerREACH is a program designed to help adolescents look at and address their anger. In this program we will explore where anger comes from, how it impacts relationships, and strategies for managing anger. For adolescents ages 10-18. This program is taught by a Youth & Family Counselor at Lakes Center for Youth & Families (LC4YF).

  • Anyone who wants to quit hurting people around them
  • Anyone who wants to better understand themselves
  • Anyone who is having trouble getting along with authorities in their life
  • Anyone whose anger is interfering with life goals

Individual Counseling with REACH Focus

  • REACH is a program designed to increase knowledge, skills, control, and an understanding surrounding anger. This program when provided individually can be personalized to the child present. This includes targeting concerns, challenges, as well as strengths to allow for the most effective means of therapy.
  • LC4YF’s Youth and Family Counselors offer individual counseling sessions to adolescents who would benefit from developing an understanding and skill set surrounding anger management. These individually focused sessions address the following: triggers for anger, understanding where anger is coming from, appropriate ways to release anger, and a healthier understanding of self and emotional well-being.
  • REACH is an average of 6 sessions. There is an initial intake fee and upon intake the amount of sessions and program fees will be discussed. Payment options include insurance (we are in network with most plans) and sliding scale fee for families who qualify. Please call for more pricing information.

Group Counseling with a REACH Focus

  • REACH is a program designed to increase knowledge, skills, control, and an understanding surrounding anger. This program provides a dynamic learning environment as it is presented in a group setting. The group setting provides differing viewpoints, the support of peers, social engagement, and active practice and application of the skills and knowledge being taught.
     
  • LC4YF’s Youth and Family Counselors offer REACH to adolescents who would benefit from developing an understanding and skill set surrounding anger management. These group sessions address the following: triggers for anger, understanding of self and emotional well-being.

  • Group session dates vary depending upon ability to fill each class. A formal schedule will be provided once a class fills. At least four individuals are needed for a group.
  • Group sessions typically are an average of 6 sessions. There is an initial intake fee, and upon intake the amount of sessions and program fees will be discussed. Payment options include a sliding scale fee for families who qualify. Please call for more pricing information.
