For youth who are at-risk for chemical abuse/dependency

Parents:

Do you have a concern that your teen needs more than Chemical Education?
Are you worried your teen’s alcohol or drug use may have evolved from experimental to addiction?
Is your teen using heavily, but is not aware of how alcohol and drugs are affecting their life?
Are you looking for a program that might help them figure out if they need treatment?

Teen Intervene:

The goal of Teen Intervene (TI) is to provide youth an opportunity to develop an understanding of their chemical use. In a one-on-one environment, teens are guided through activities and questions to get them thinking and engaged in conversation about their use.

Using motivational theory, this program allows counselors to listen to teens and begin to create doubt about the benefits of their use. Teens will have the opportunity to explore what life would be like without chemicals and set goals for how to get there.

TI is for youth ages 13-19 and is 3-4 sessions. Parent/guardian is not required to attend each session.
